ANNUAL MEETING & NOTICE OF ELECTIONS
The Nominating Committee, consisting of Directors James Marks, Elizabeth Mrouse and Susan Dowling, has presented its report of nominees for the Board of Directors in accordance with the bylaws of CorePlus Federal Credit Union. The following individuals have been nominated for election.
Three Year Terms
David Moorehead – former executive director of the Waterford Country School, has served many years with local civic, religious and municipal organizations. Mr. Moorehead brings management and financial experience in nonprofit institutions to his role as a board member. He has served as a CorePlus Director since 2011.
Jean Swift – is a Financial Advisor to the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council and previously served as Treasurer until December 2018. Jean is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Connecticut, and Board Member and Member of the CorePlus Credit and CPCU Supervisory Committee, respectively. Jean also serves on the Board for the Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce, and on the IRS Advisory Council, Tax Exempt and Governmental Entities Subgroup. Jean earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from DeVry University.
Selma Ward – is the Chief Financial Officer for Perception Programs Inc. in addition to managing her own business, Clear River Consulting LLC. She also passes on her extensive knowledge and financial experience as an adjunct professor at Manchester Community College. Ms. Ward has served as a CorePlus Director since 2016.
Louis Fusaro Sr. – was the Chief of Police when he retired with 48 years of service to the Norwich community. During his 50 years in law enforcement he also served as President of the Connecticut Police Association, the Connecticut Police Chiefs Association, and is the Current Secretary of the New England Association of Chiefs of Police, Inc. Chief Fusaro has been a Credit Union member and supporter since 1968. He was a past Director, and President of the former Norwich Municipal Federal Credit Union for a period of 10 years before it merged with CorePlus Credit Union. Chief Fusaro has served on the CorePlus Supervisory Committee and has been a CorePlus Director since 2014.
Election and Meeting
Having met the bylaw provisions that at least one nomination be made for each vacant position, there will be no nomination(s) from the floor. No petition nominations having been received the election will be a single vote cast by the secretary in acclamation and will not be conducted by ballot.
