Consumer Fraud Alert

There has been a high occurrence of electronic scams in our area. Identity thieves have been presenting themselves as Amazon representatives and have been contacting consumers by text message, email, or by phone. Consumers are led to believe their account information has been compromised and they are instructed to either click a link or provide personal information to authenticate their accounts. Consumers should avoid providing any personal information when not initiating the call or text.

Please note that companies such as Amazon will not reach out to you to request personal information regarding transactions or charges to your account or card.
